1. Once installed, select the gRef book icon from the BlackBerry main screen.
2. Using the phone's trackball, select (by clicking on the trackball) any one of
the reference guides on the phone.
3. Using the phone's trackball, select any item in the list to see the
information associated with it.
4. If you want to quickly navigate to item without scrolling, you can use the
space bar to page down and the ALT+space bar to page up or just type
letters. For example, if you type an “m”, the first item that starts with
“m” will be highlighted.
Press the "MENU" key to see commands available within a
Reference Guide:
· "Switch Label and Detail": You can switch the Label and
Detail on the phone. The default uses the source spreadsheet column A for
the Label and column B for the Detail, this command reverses the default.
Note that this can also be configured in the gWhiz Template as well.
· "Show List Detail": The default display mode previews "List
Detail". Press the "MENU" key to toggle between
"Hide List Detail" and "Show List Detail".

· "View Set As Flashcards": allows you to use this same data in
gFlash+. This may be helpful if you would like to test and score your
understanding of a subject. Note that this option is only available if the
gWhiz suite is downloaded simultaneously vs. separately downloading gFlash+ and
gRef.
· "Sort List..." The default sort order is as the items appear
in the source spreadsheet. There are options to sort items alphabetically
and in reverse order (i.e., reverse the default order or reverse alphabetical).
· "Show Help...": takes you to gWhiz web based help.
