Once installed, select the gFlash+ logo from the device's main screen.  Select any one of the cardsets installed on the device.

The default learning mode is "Honor System":

· Press any key to see the first answer on the BlackBerry or "Tap to Reveal Answer" on the iPhone/iPod touch
· Indicate whether you were correct or wrong by selecting the appropriate key:
     - "k" and "x" on the BlackBerry
     - tap either the check or "X" on the iPhone/iPod touch
· Your score will be tracked along the way with green boxes (correct) and red boxes (wrong)
· Continue to proceed through the set.

After you make your first pass, the incorrect cards are shuffled and replayed with a small subset of those you answered correctly so you can focus on the missed questions.

After you've answered all cards correctly you'll be prompted to take the quiz.

To make learning a little easier, select "Show Multiple Choice" mode.  On the BlackBerry, use the appropriate letter key to select the correct answer.  On the iPhone/iPod touch, just touch the answer.  Cards automatically advance after you've made your selection.

When you're ready to be tested, select "Take the Quiz" and your score will be tabulated.

You can reverse the questions and answers on cards by selecting "Reverse Q&A".  This is not appropriate for all card types (see "Create your own Flashcards" section for details).  Since this can be configured in the gWhiz Template, it may not be available on some of the cardsets loaded from the catalog.

You can change your last score on the iPhone by moving your finger left and right in the blank space.  On the BlackBerry, this is done by selecting the (Quick Key "c"), but does not work in multiple choice mode.

Help is available:
· On the BlackBerry via "MENU", "Show Help...": takes you to gWhiz web based help.
· On the iPhone/iPod touch via the "i" icon on the main screen.

Other "Options..." available within a cardset on the iPhone/iPod touch:
· Select "One Card Mode" to toggle between each side of the flashcard.

Other "MENU" and Quick Key options available within a cardset on the BlackBerry:
· Select "Work With Subset..." to work with a subset of your flashcards (e.g., 25%).
· Select "Show Score" (Quick Key "ALT+s") to see your score when in maximize screen mode.
· Select "Show Classic Cards" to see the comforting pink and blue lines of homemade flashcards.
· Select "Maximize Screen" to make the flashcards larger and hide the help text and scoring information.
· Select "Show Help Text" or "Hide Help Text" if you need a reminder on the "k" = correct and "x" = wrong convention.
· Selecting "View Set As Reference" allows you to view an existing set of flashcards as a gRef guide.  This may be helpful when learning on ordered list or when quickly sorting through a lot of information.  This is only available if the whole gWhiz suite of applications was downloaded together.
